The road trip-ready Vanagon is equipped with a rear seat that folds out into a bed, an exterior 110-volt electrical outlet, and disc brakes.

About the model Volkswagen introduced the third generation of the Type 2 in 1979.
Known as the T3, the third generation Type 2 was known as the Vanagon in the Americas, and the name has become synonymous with the T3 Type 2.
Available in a variety of interior layouts and body styles, including the Westfalia Camper, the T3 generation would be the last Type 2 generation to feature a rear-mounted engine.
