Visiting Lecturer/Clinical Supervisor in Couples and Family Therapy
Pre-Doctoral Internship
The University of Oregon's Couples and Family Therapy program (Master's) is announcing the opening of a one-year pre-doctoral internship to serve on the faculty team. The position will begin Fall, 2015. Candidates should be students in COAMFTE Ph.D. programs and have a demonstrated commitment to social justice and working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds. Evidence of interdisciplinary collaboration focused on improving the welfare of marginalized families is highly desirable and related to the goals of the Department of Counseling Psychology and Human Services. Candidates who promote and enhance diversity are strongly desired.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Applicant must be a doctoral student in a COAMFTE program having completed the majority of the required coursework;
AAMFT Approved Supervisor or supervisor-in-training;
3 years of clinical experience working with relational systems;
History of research and publication;
1-year college teaching experience (GTA/GTF included)

Responsibilities:
Teach graduate courses; supervise graduate student clinical work at the Center for Family Therapy; contribute to the implementation of the COE-wide diversity strategic plan; participate in all program events; and contribute to ongoing program development.
Specific Duties:
Provide individual and group supervision for interns at the CFT. Supervision will involve weekly meetings with supervisees. Supervision will also involve being available on-site Friday afternoons and evenings during clinic operation.
Teach 5-6 courses in the CFT program curriculum over the course of 12 months (this includes group supervision courses).
Serve on designated committees.
Perform other duties as part of the operation of the Center for Family Therapy, as outlined by the CFT Program Clinical Director.
Attend 1 hour monthly CFT staff meeting and 1.5 hour weekly program faculty & staff meetings.
Participate in workshops conducted by the Teaching Effectiveness Program (TEP) at the University of Oregon.
Participate in application reviews and CFT interview day of potential students.
Assist in the ongoing clinical evaluation of CFT interns, comprehensive examinations, and participate in the formal case review of CFT students.
Maintain an active caseload at the program's Center for Family Therapy (CFT) Clinic.
Provide supervision to ongoing therapy groups in the Center for Family Therapy (CFT) clinic.
Provide supervision to students in medical externship sites.
The Couples and Family Therapy program is a COAMFTE accredited program whose faculty are dedicated to enhancing multicultural competencies, promoting social justice, and promoting prevention science and practice. The program is housed in the Department of Counseling Psychology and Human Services, along with the Counseling Psychology doctoral program and the Family and Human Services undergraduate program.
