The University of Oregon African Studies program seeks to create a pool of qualified applicants for possible temporary appointments teaching area studies courses related to Africa. Positions are funding contingent, part-time or temporary assignments with an appointment of up to one year, but with the possibility of renewal for up to three years depending on need, funding and performance.
Salary is dependent on education and experience. An M.A. degree is required; a Ph.D. is preferred and appropriate experience required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
