Georgia-Pacific in Eugene, OR is seeking a Stores-Maintenance Associate. The associate will report to the Maintenance Manager and will be an integral part of the plants continuing achievement of a Zero Accident Culture (ZAC) and Operations Excellence.
This position requires strong communication skills, ability to be a team player working with a diverse team and proven experience as a self-starter who can effectively manage multiple tasks and solve problems to achieve desired results. Responsibilities:
Work closely with the organization's Procurement and Accounting leaders to achieve Operations Excellence in Reliability, Internal Financial Controls, Procurement, Customer Service and Contractor Administration. Manages the overall Spare Parts supply operations and inventory of maintenance materials, supplies and capital spares.
Conduct daily duties involving receiving/transfers/shipping of parts, materials and equipment.
Conducts periodic review and analysis of the inventory including but not limited to cycle counting, slow moving and obsolescence reviews, criticality and min/max reviews, repair & return transactions and system capabilities.
Ensures the storeroom is organized through shelf/bin and parts identification.
Identify optimal inventory levels and assisting in developing criticality classifications for parts to track materials most critical to uptime.
Work with maintenance team to enter and improve asset information within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and hardcopy files, including Bill of Materials and Specification information.
Work with Maintenance Supervisor for development and entering of PM Tasks (maintenance procedures) into the CMMS system.
Work with Purchasing Manager/Maintenance supervisor to support/conduct Maintenance parts/materials purchasing.
Update the CMMS based on Work Order Feedback.
Print and file Work Orders per weekly schedule and record retention requirements.
Assist with Asset Strategy development as it pertains to critical spares evaluation.
Support improvements of Vendor Managed Inventory.
Utilize company's master data management tools and maintain local item master data in core system.
Manage Contractor Files
Daily Customer Service bill of lading preparation and invoicing as needed.
Provide vacation coverage for Office Coordinator, Stores for sister facility and Procurement Manager
Basic
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Maintenance, Stores or Inventory Management role
Ability to pull and lift up to 35 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in an office or manufacturing environment
Minimum of 1 year experience with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project).
Willing and able to work around hazardous Chemicals
Willing and able to be a backup for the front desk-reception, answering phones and working with the general public.
Willing and able to work at the Albany Oregon facility on occasion.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Associates degree preferred
Experience in Computerized Maintenance Management software.
Demonstrated effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Strong communication (verbal and written), planning and organizational skills
