Manufacturing Shift LeadWho we are looking forWe are currently searching for a Manufacturing Shift Lead to be based out of our Eugene, Oregon PlantReporting to the Production Manager, this person will be responsible for supervision of an assigned crew and making sure that the PVC pipe is manufactured on schedule and within the right specifications.What you'll do:
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensure PVC pipe is manufactured per the production schedule. Confirm that all products meet specifications and that all required quality tests are performed. Examine operator paperwork, QC/QA forms to ensure that it has been completed accurately and correctly. Train, and develop crew members and promote a safe working environment and enforce safety rules and procedures. Optimize utilization of employees and equipment Understand computerized systems associated with the extrusion, control, and printing technologies used in our facility. Obtain production efficiencies by developing a culture of continuous improvement. All other assigned duties. What you'll bring:
The minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations. High attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization. Shows initiative. Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner. Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
