our people represent Peterson, our family, our brand, and our values.You have high expectations tooYou are exceptionally motivated, have outstanding skills, and want your work to matterPeterson offers competitive wages, generous benefits, and promotional opportunities at a family-owned and operated businessIt's time to use your skills and passion to do work that matters!Job DescriptionPeterson Cat has a need for a Technical Trainer & Communicator who can be based at any Peterson location.SUMMARYThe Technical Trainer and Communicator provides a comprehensive technical employee learning and development program that enhances knowledge, skills, and performance of technical employees at the Peterson organizationAnalyzes, researches, develops, designs, organizes, implements and conducts training programsProvides technical information support inside and outside of the companyChampions a continuous learning environmentEffectiveness in this role is dependent upon competency in and knowledge of technical functional areas, practices, and process, building successful relationships, establishing credibility, and providing solutions to employees and managers.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSThe following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assignedManagement may assign or reassign the functions to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasonsJob functions include the followingOther duties may be assigned.Technical Employees Development Plans - core competencesWork with Employee Development staff to plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive training and development strategy for the Company that is consistent with the Company's core valuesConduct learning needs assessments to identify individual, departmental, divisional and organizational training opportunities.Work with Manager to define minimum skill proficiencies for technical positions and develop a process for evaluating incumbents for the purpose of identifying future training and career advancement opportunities.Technical Communicator ResponsibilitiesWork directly with field technicians, shop technicians and customers at all locations, over phone or in person, to help solve maintenance and service problems related to earth-moving, power generation and heavy-equipment machines.Serve as principle communication liaison with manufacturers on all technical issues and initiatives set forth by manufacturers.Technical Curricula DevelopmentDevelop a needs analysis to identify skills/competency gaps and establish measures to track progressDevelop and executes innovative strategies to ensure the organization has the necessary skills and competencies to meet company business plans and strategy.Assist with develop, design, coordination and implement a companywide performance management system used to evaluate employees work performance, establish future business goals, identify individual responsibilities and monitors an employee's individual career development plan.Provide consulting services to departments in all aspects of non-technical training and analyze training requestsMake recommendations to the appropriate Manager and coordinates training activities with other departments and outside companies.Research, establish and maintain training vendor/partner relationships with other training agenciesConduct cost-benefit analysis to assess utilization of outside training resources.Establish a process for designing, identifying, delivering, coordinating, and evaluating seminars, workshops, courses, and training.Peterson University MarketingWork with the Peterson Marketing Department to market Peterson Universities' training services to customers and Cat dealers.Travel to Peterson and customer locations approximately 20% of the time.Operate company or personal vehicle as needed.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree from a fully accredited college in a closely related field; and a minimum of seven years of directly related experience and/or training in the heavy equipment industry with Caterpillar experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust possess a thorough knowledge of Caterpillar and OEM equipment, operations and parts.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMaintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.The pay range for this position is:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
