5K a year Bethel School District is seeking qualified applicants for an 8 hour per day Accounting III at the District Office.
The Accounting III hours will perform accounts payable duties in the Business Office.
This position will be year round, 260 days.

ACCOUNTING III Nature of Work Positions in this class have a primary emphasis of fiscal record keeping for Bethel School District overall, such as accounts payable and control accounting at the District office.
Examples of Work These duties are illustrative only.
Other duties may be assigned.
Performs a variety of duties relating to the centralized accounts payable process; reviews invoices for accuracy and compliance with District purchasing and payment procedures; computer entry of data; verifies correct vendor payments; generates periodic system reports; and maintains files.
Performs a variety of duties relating to the centralized purchasing process; reviews requisitions for proper coding and funds availability; prepares, signs, and sends to vendors serially controlled purchase orders; generates periodic system reports; and maintains proper supporting documents.
Maintains centralized inventory records for the District's fixed assets, supplies, and library media.
Supervision After an initial orientation, employees are expected to function with relative independence and latitude within the framework of District policy and practices.
Work is generally performed in accordance with established deadlines, and is reviewed for accuracy and timeliness, and through the internal control process.
Supervision is provided by the Business Services Director, who is available for resolving work problems of a non-recurring nature.
Selection Factors Knowledge of accounts payable, control accounting, fixed assets, or other bookkeeping procedures and practices involved in the area of position emphasis Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles as required by the position Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, making decisions on recurring problems Ability to operate a computerized accounting system with report generation procedures Ability to quickly learn the School District's accounting and procurement policies and practices relating to tasks assigned Ability to use spreadsheet, word processing, and data base software, as required by the position Ability to operate standard office equipment Ability to initiate or implement more efficient procedures Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, supervisors, and school administrators Ability to deal with the public in a pleasant, tactful, and courteous manner Speed and accuracy skills in data entry Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and prompt attendance Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent, supplemented by course work or training in areas of emphasis for the position.
Two years of computerized bookkeeping experience with an emphasis on accounts payable.
Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training that ensures the ability to perform the work may be substituted.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
