The Position Step into the shoes of our Level 2 Engineer, where your desk is just a starting point and the real focus is with the people you work with and support.
If you have a knack for diving headfirst into the action, supporting requests, installing and troubleshooting new computers and internal networking systems, all with some higher-level tasks sprinkled in for good measure - then this role is for you.
However, just technical prowess alone won't cut it here.
Because, you're not just confined to a desk or hiding in the shadows.
Instead, you'll be a vibrant part of our ecosystem, fostering relationships with clients, sharing a laugh with other engineers, and solving problems together.
This role is for the doers, the talkers, the problem solvers, and the relationship builders.

Prior MSP level 2 tech experience is highly preferred, but not necessary if you've got the skills from other sysadmin paths.
The position, we call a Level 2 Engineer.
This is your traditional level 2 helpdesk position, but with a bit of higher-level tasks sprinkled in.
At Eugene Networks, our Level 2 crew are our front line to receive all support requests, everyone at Eugene Networks is at Level 2 or above.
Our Level 2 crew also completes server installs and migrations with full support from our Level 3 Engineers and if needed/ the Senior Engineer.
If you haven't gotten this by now, supporting our team is our focus! The owner, service manager, and the other engineers do everything they can to help you feel loved and supported, seriously can't stress that enough.
All of the technicians share in an on call rotation for 1 week at a time, we pay you on call pay for that week, plus you get paid for whatever time you clock working on anything that comes up.
We typically don't have much on-call and try very hard to limit the requests to emergencies only (like network/server down etc.
) This is an in office position with travel to and from client sites primarily in Eugene/Springfield.
You must have reliable transportation to get to and from customer sites and to transfer computer equipment safely.
We do pay mileage reimbursement for driving to and from client sites.
Some things we will want you to work with:
Autotask ticketing system (and no we don't make you account for every minute of your day like other IT shops).
Do some work, document it.
Very easy and low stress.
Datto RMM Configurations and Deployments of the following:
computers, printers, VOIP phones, Wi-Fi, servers, switches, firewalls, etc.
Essentially business IT stuff.
Office 365, Gsuite Backup software (we use 2 software's primarily and will train you on them) Windows and Mac systems Line of business applications that our clients use.
We install and support the software with the help of their support with the vendor that developed the software.
We support a range of clients who all use unique software.

The range is $25 - $32 to start for this position.
On Call Pay - For every week you are on call, you will get on call pay added to your pay for that pay period, in addition to any overtime you accrue for actually handling the on call items that come up.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
