Maintenance Technician
5th Street Public Market 5th Street Public Market Eugene, OR Eugene, OR Part-time Part-time $18 - $21 an hour $18 - $21 an hour Obie Companies is in search of a personable and experienced individual to fill the Maintenance Technician role for a 127-unit multi-family apartment residence in the heart of the Market District in Eugene, Oregon.
Boutique Property Management LLC is a subsidiary of Obie Companies and the managing entity that oversees this property.
This is a part-time non-exempt position.
After hours on-call rotation required.
A pre-employment drug screen and background check will be conducted as a part of the hiring process.
Summary:
The primary objective of the General Maintenance positionis to ensure the property's exterior and interior is maintained in an attractive manner.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Perform daily and weekly maintenance tasks as assigned Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor and perform maintenance work as requested Complete assigned work orders within 24 hours Maintain grounds, work and storage areas and dumpster areas on a daily basis to ensure meets company standards Walk property daily to ensure safety and cleanliness Safely use chemicals and equipment as a part of everyday duties.
Interact with residents in a professional, courteous, and non-discriminatory manner Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor Comply with all Fair Housing and Equal Housing Opportunity requirements Comply with all appropriate state and local landlord/tenant statutes Comply with OSHA safety regulations Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Authorization to work in the United States 1-2
years' experience in multifamily or hotel maintenance preferred General knowledge of routine maintenance functions with minor plumbing and electrical work orders Ability to manually operate tools Ability to work as a team player Ability to multi-task Ability to resolve conflicts Demonstrate good hygiene Demonstrate excellent customer service skills Take initiative to anticipate problems and take actions to prevent Work Environment This position operates in a professional office environment and outdoors on property grounds.
This role requires the employee to be on-site on a daily basis.
Physical Requirements This position requires frequent walking, standing, and climbing stairs, scaffolds, ladders, and maneuver walkways in/around apartment homes, building structures, landscaping, and signage.
Must have the ability to read and comprehend information, speak, hear, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs.
