This position is on-site.
Office/workspace location will depend on employee's location.
The role will cover the Eugene/Springfield market that will cover Eugene/Springfield north to Albany and east to Bend.
Travel is required.

Small Business Development Officer Wage:
$57,700 - $84,300/year (dependent on knowledge, skills and abilities) Position Primary Purpose:
Develops and cultivates new small business relationships, and provides products and services to existing and prospective members including loans, deposits, and ancillary services.
Responsibilities:
Ensures small business products are offered and provides feedback on the products to support overall strategy and goals for the small business market.
Grows business membership by working with local branch staff, lending teams, business development officers, and marketing to generate leads and increase visibility within the assigned market.
Builds a portfolio of small business loans and deposits within assigned area.
Stays abreast of industry knowledge, competitive offerings, innovative products, and changes in assigned markets.
Participates in and coordinates community initiatives that support the strategic direction of the organization in the assigned region to help achieve small business goals and increases visibility of the credit union.
Compiles monthly and quarterly sales and activities report, and presents it to the Small Business Program Manager.
Maintains monthly, quarterly, and annual loan and deposit goals and other small business program goals as assigned by Small Business Program Manager.
Acts as liaison with assigned credit union branches and Small Business Program Manager to assist with sales, mentorship, and training for credit union employees.
Meets with assigned branch staff, members and prospects monthly and helps to plan business development activities/events as instructed by the Small Business Program Manager.
Assists Small Business Program Manager with the presentation of loans to credit underwriting for approval and processing including prescreening requests to determine alignment with lending policy.
All other duties as assigned.
Previous
Experience:
Two (2) years experience in business development, sales and/or banking.
Education:
High school diploma (GED equivalent).
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Management, or Banking preferred.
Demonstrated Abilities:
Ability to conduct business development activities.
Ability to meet and exceed sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Demonstrated experience in consumer and small business lending.
Demonstrated experience working for a financial institution or similar organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication and exceptional client service skills.
Knowledge of client retention, building pipelines, and market growth.
Skilled at partnering with branch teams, other departments, and business partners to achieve goals.
Travel is required.

Employees (and their eligible family members) are eligible to enroll in a generous benefits package including health, vision, dental, life and AD&D insurance.
Employees will also receive company provided life, AD&D, and long-term disability coverage and after 60 days may participate in the company's 401(k) retirement plan where the company matches an employee's contributions at 150%, up to 5%, after one year of service.
Additionally, employees will receive up to 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, a minimum of 12 days of paid time off (PTO) each calendar year, and 13 weeks of paid leave used when on an approved state or federal protected leave or in compliance with company policy.
The hired applicant will also be eligible for role specific variable compensation in accordance with the established plan documents.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
