Director of Operations OVERSEES:
Warehouse Supervisors & Customer Service Representatives PRIMARY PURPOSE The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the warehouse operations.
The selection, development and motivation of all warehouse employees are key responsibilities.
The Warehouse Manager serves as an interface to collaborate and coordinate between warehouse operations, customer service, information technologies, maintenance, inventory control, compliance and all other departments.
They are accountable for achieving company objectives regarding compliance, customer service, productivity, and profitability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operations Ensures the development of standard operating procedures for managing the warehouse in an efficient manner.
Plans, directs, and implements warehouse operations and customer service to meet service standards while operating in compliance with federal, state, and local statutes.
Makes recommendations to senior management on programs to improve operations.
Warehouse Layout and Space Planning Monitors customer activity daily and reports results compared to budget weekly.
Communicates with customers frequently regarding space needs and activity.
Collaborates with Customer Account Manager to forecast activity and develop a space utilization plan to efficiently utilize the warehouse while maximizing storage capacity.
Budgeting & Financial Results Responsible for the financial performance of the warehouse Collaborates with Customer Account Manager to develop annual revenue budget based on forecasted customer activity.
Recommends warehouse expense budget that is challenging yet achievable while continuing to meet service levels and operational performance relative to financial parameters.
Reviews Warehouse Income Statement monthly and comes to meetings with a good understanding of the numbers and prepared to speak to the results.
Labor Management Directs the operations of the warehouse and customer service teams to achieve objectives.
Collaborates with Human Resources and follows SOPs for hiring, training, professional development, annual reviews, wage increases, coaching, and terminations.
Matches the skill and background of personnel to the work required.
Applies sound communication and motivational techniques.
Balancing labor hours with activity levels and customer service standards to meet operational performance relative to financial parameters.

6/8/2022 REV 2 Equipment & Facilities Monitors plant equipment for proper functioning, addresses maintenance needs, and achieves superior levels of sanitation daily.
Ensures the safe and efficient operation and utilization of all warehouse handling equipment.
Coordinates with maintenance staff to ensure material handling equipment is being properly maintained and operated by warehouse workers.
Reports any facility concern to Director of Operations or Chief Engineer.
Safety & Compliance Embraces and promotes a culture of safety.
Participates in developing safety processes and implements and trains workers on SOPs to ensure the safety of all employees, equipment and property.
Provides safety instructions to all personnel as required.
Immediately reports all safety related injuries or incidents to Director of Operations.
Food Safety Implements, directs and monitors food safety processes to ensure the warehouse meets the highest GFSI certification rating.
Ensures superior levels of sanitation are achieved on a daily basis.
Inventory Management Ensures current and accurate inventory control for each account and exceeds the monthly audit results for an A rating.
Collaborates with Inventory Control Department to reconcile discrepancies and institute immediate corrective action, follow hold/release SOPs, and coordinate physical inventory counts.
Collaborates with inventory control on product disposals.
Customer Service Ensures that customer accounts receive prompt, efficient service from the office and warehouse staff.
Maintains contact with all accounts and responds promptly to all requests.
Reviews customer KPI packages for accuracy.
Checks in regularly with top customers to ensure we are meeting their service expectations.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Experience or Training Required:
Thorough understanding of all aspects of warehousing.
Experience in safety, sanitation, employee motivation, communication, and human resources.
Complete understanding of accurate inventory control procedures.
Comfortable operating GSuite, High Jump, and ADP.
Minimum high school education.
License or Certificate Required:
Valid driver's license Forklift operator certification.

Level headed FOOD SAFETY REQUIREMENTS All Staff have the responsibility for complying with all inventory safety, legality, and regulatory requirements.
Employees must adhere to SnoTemp's quality systems to include following all procedures, using the correct forms, and completing all documents accurately.
Documented arrangements are in place to cover for the absence of key staff.
All staff have the responsibility to report any food safety and quality issues to the supervisor immediately.
