6 Quick Apply Full-time 13 hours ago Full Job Description Family Support Specialist ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Warmly welcoming and assisting families entering First Place Family Center.
Provide needed support to families as they work towards stability.
This may include, but is not limited to, helping to connect families with partner agencies that may be of service, assisting families in identifying and overcoming barriers to permanent housing, modeling gentle parenting techniques, and aiding families in conflict resolution.
Data entry answering the phone, taking messages, filing, and multi-tasking in a high energy, busy environment.
Entering accurate information in a timely manner into Lane County's HMIS database.
Assisting families in completing other required forms and documents.
Effectively communicating and enforcing program rules utilizing a trauma informed approach.
Light custodial chores; Garbage Sanitizing surfaces Dishes QUALIFICATIONS Must have the capacity to stay flexible under stress and maintain composure while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Must have at least a basic knowledge of computer technology (email, Word).
Must have a warm, welcoming presence combined with good boundaries.
Must have a nonjudgmental approach to a wide range of individuals and lifestyles.
Ability to lift up to 35-50 lbs.
