We are looking for someone CARING, HONEST, RELIABLE and POSITIVE! Job Duties The Teacher will:
Understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed.
Uphold high quality health and safety standards associated with Eugene Creative Care, Early Learning Division (ELD), sanitation and fire agencies.
Use well developed interpersonal communication and organizational skills in order to meet the diverse needs of children, families, school personnel, teachers, volunteers and affiliates of Eugene Creative Care.
Qualifications Some experience and/or education preferred but not required.
State training requirements can be completed upon hire.

Central Background Registry (CBR) background check with the Office of Child Care prior to job offer ( https:

Documentation proving you meet the Child Care Teacher requirements for certified centers by meeting ONE OR MORE of the following requirements:
? Documentation of attaining at least step 8 (eight) in the Oregon Registry ? or completion of 20 credits (semester system) or 30 credits (quarter system) of training at a college or university in one of the following:
Child development / Elementary education / Physical education / Recreation Special education / Early childhood ? or a one year state or nationally recognized credential related to caring for ages 5-12 ? or at least one year of qualifying teaching experience, with at least one year as a teacher, in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program) in the care of ages 5-12.
? or completion of 10 credits (semester system) or 15 credits (quarter system) of training at a college or university in:
Child development / Elementary education / Physical education / Recreation Special education / Early childhood education
AND at least six months of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program) in the care of ages 5-12.

You will also need to obtain and maintain the following safety set requirements.
These training certificates MUST BE submitted to ORO and also to our ECC office.
? Documentation of enrollment in the Oregon Registry Online (ORO) through Portland State.
ORO Step Level certificate required.
? Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety Training (ICCHS) ? Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect Training (RRCAN) ? Food Handlers Certificate (obtain within 30 days of hire) ? Infant/Child & Adult CPR/First Aid Training (obtain within 90 days of hire) ? Prevention is Better than Treatment Training (PBTT) ? Infant Safe Sleep Training (obtain prior to starting if working with ages 0-2) ?
