You will be responsible for collaborating with suppliers to establish meaningful raw material specifications compliant with East West Tea requirements, industry standards, and government regulations while conducting detailed material food safety risk assessments to identify hazard(s) to East West Tea. WHAT YOU'LL OWN:
oSupplier certifications and audit reports to ensure GFSI and/or GMP compliance. oSupplier quality documentation to ensure at least minimum food safety and quality criteria are met and maintained. oRaw material documentation for both ingredients and packaging components, including, but not limited to, specification sheets, ingredient certifications, product declaration statements, etc. oRaw material ingredient compliance to East West Tea's internal guardrails for ingredient quality and food safety. oForm relationships with suppliers and establish meaningful raw material specifications compliant with East West Tea requirements, industry standards, and government regulations. oConduct detailed material food safety risk assessments to identify hazard(s) oPerform supplier onsite visits and audits as needed to meet business needs. oEnsure all raw material documentation is kept up-to-date and current, including regular review of document age and validity dates. oMaintain a supplier scorecard to quantify supplier qualification status. oMaintain the document repository through East West Tea's document management system. oTroubleshoot supplier issues regarding specifications, Certificates of Analyses, and functionality with the supplier, East West Tea R&D, and Operations. Investigate and follow up on out of specifications, root cause investigations, and corrective/preventive actions with suppliers. oWork with East West Tea Contract Manufacturers to get raw materials qualified for use at their manufacturing sites. oOther duties and responsibilities as required.WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED:
o3-5 years' work experience in Food and Supplements (experience in both preferred). oDemonstrated experience with Customer and third-party portals.oASQ Certified Quality Auditor preferred.oExperience in Project Management/Organizational skillsoProfessional or personal experience with organic products preferred.oGood communication skillsoFluency in business English, spoken and writtenoPreferred experience in FMCG/CPGoHigh level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint oERP experience and report writing ability preferred.oSome traveling might be required within US or EUYOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT:
