Position: The Product Design Program in the School of Architecture and Allied Arts at the University of Oregon invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor appointment beginning September 16, 2015.
Qualifications: A Master degree in Design and a minimum of two years practicing professional design are position requirements. We are interested in candidates with a proven academic track record in experimental or mass production of products utilizing additive manufacturing technologies (ie: FDM). Familiarity with electronic prototyping (ie. Arduino) is also desirable. Candidates are expected to build a strong, externally funded research program. Position Description: Tenure-related faculty in the Product Design Program teach courses that integrate an understanding of product design theory and practice. This 1.0 FTE, 9-month, full-time faculty position includes teaching five courses/studios per year. Faculty are expected to have well-defined research or creative practice interests and to engage in sustained inquiry into emerging issues in their area of expertise through the pursuit of funded research, scholarly publication and/or recognized professional practice. This appointment carries the responsibilities of full-time, tenure-track faculty appointments, including advising students, management of student and faculty programs, service on administrative committees, governance, and curricular development. The Product Design Program is currently an undergraduate program, with the expectation to establish a graduate component within three years. The Product Design Program currently has five tenure-related faculty members and 150 undergraduate majors.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
