year contract)
Location - Beautiful Eugene Oregon

A great opportunity awaits for the right experienced engineer with a 1 year contract (with possible additional year extensions) working in a world class facility in beautiful Eugene Oregon.
Scope of work includes:
Perform regular maintenance and integration of new versions of the component products of the Oba platform (Moodle and Mahara).
Evaluation and Integration of third party plugins and products into the Oba platform.
Development , Production and Deployment of bespoke plugins and functional extensions for the Oba Platform.
Revision and Refactoring of existing code to meet the evolving requirements of the Oba platform.
Accessible Theming and responsive UI design for the Oba platform to improve usability and maintain a consistent look and feel across all component systems of the OBA platform.
Design and Implementation of robust tools and procedures for version control, build and deployment of the Oba platform.
Develop new tools and procedures for importing third party course content in a variety of formats (Common Cartridge, Blackboard, Legacy Moodle, etc.) into Oba platform.
Regular liaison with Oba team and partners.
Provide Tier 2 & 3 technical support for end users and partner organizations
Qualifications:
At least five years of experience with PHP and database driven content and learning management systems.
Experience developing and using effective build/deployment automation systems using technologies such as NodeJS/Grunt.
Experience working with and developing tools used within K12 and Higher Education spheres.
Understanding of the issues surrounding security and privacy and experience implementing best practices in these areas - especially with regard to the additional requirements that apply in an education setting.
Working knowledge of Linux systems and cloud-based hosting.
Experience developing web-based applications using JavaScript, X/HTML, XML, XSLT and CSS, and using and extending frameworks such as Bootstrap and Jquery.
Experience working with the Git version control system.
Experience working with large existing code bases and /or open-source products in general, as well as a detailed working knowledge of the Moodle and Mahara Code bases specifically.
Experience developing custom themes / interface enhancements for Moodle and Mahara as well as functional additions/plugins.
Experience of developing software solutions to complex problems, working with clients / stakeholders from initial concept and specification through to final implementation and post-implementation support.
Ability to write clear maintainable code in keeping with house-standards, with a focus on modularity/re-usability.
Ability to create and maintain clear and concise written documentation and maintenance procedures.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Knowledge of web standards and experience of designing accessible 508 compliant systems.
Experience producing responsive web-apps with a focus on accessibility across a variety of platforms.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
