The Assistant Director of Development for Constituent Engagement will work as member of the UO Athletics and Duck Athletic Fund team to continue implementation of the Women in Flight initiative specific to fundraising for women's athletic teams. Duties will include annual fund development, initiative marketing and communications, donor engagement planning and budget oversight specific to the WIF program. In addition this Assistant Director of Development for Constituent Engagement will assist the Donor Relations/Event team on a variety of defined DAF donor stewardship projects.
This position calls for initiative, independent decision making, organization and excellent communication skills.
Women in Flight (WIF) Annual Fund Development and Program Management: Serve as Athletic Department's primary annual fund Development Officer for the Women in Flight annual fund program.
Plan and execute WIF annual fund strategy focused on 2015 program growth, donor renewal program and engagement opportunities.
Work with DAF major gift development team to prospect for major gift WIF donors to include the softball facility capital campaign.
Work with UO WIF marketing team to refine and implement the WIF's initiative messaging with an emphasis on engagement opportunities and social networking strategy.
Collaborate with Athletic Communications, Ticketing, Marketing and Coaches to incorporate WIF messaging into home games and sports publications related to UO women's sports.
Maintain WIF website content, social media avenues and oversee electronic WIF donor stewardship messages.
Collaborate with UO student-athlete development team to incorporate relevant aspects of their work into WIF strategy and plans.
Have high visibility at women's home athletic games/matches working to connect with fan bases and assist with relationship building between that constituency and Oregon's senior administrators/coaching staffs.
Track expenses and maintain assigned budget.
Stewardship: Assist UO's Assistant Director of Development for Donor Relations & Events in a variety of DAF stewardship projects.
Performs special duties and projects as requested by Athletic Department.

Bachelor's Degree required. One year of collegiate athletic development experience or twoyears of experience in a closely related field (sales or marketing) within a university setting required. BCS Division I experience preferred. Outstanding written and oral communication skills required. Proven interpersonal skills with commitment to customerservice required. Extensive experience with Microsoft Office, or similar suite required. Successful previous experience with development of PowerPoint or similar presentations preferred. Prospect management database management software experience preferred. Donor event coordination experience preferred. Experience as a former student-athlete preferred. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred. Candidates with experience serving the needs of diverse populations are strongly desired.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
