This is a classified position represented by SEIU local 503, Oregon Public Employees Union.

### TO QUALIFY YOU MUST HAVE:
12 quarter hours (8 semester) of accounting courses and an associate's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university; OR
two years of bookkeeping experience that included entering, compiling and/or reporting financial information; OR
an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Required
Qualifications:
High level proficiency with spreadsheet (Excel) and word processing computer applications.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and exercise sound independent judgment.
Ability to prioritize and track accounting functions.
Experience creating and maintaining computer spreadsheets and databases.
Demonstrated independent problem solving skills; ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Ability to successfully work in a fast pace environment and meet multiple deadlines.
Ability to understand and follow state purchasing guidelines.
Ability to work cooperatively and strategically in a team environment with all levels of professionals.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience with Banner FIS, university purchasing, accounts payable and travel reimbursement rules and systems.

### DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
This position provides accounting support for University Advancement. Duties include:
interpreting laws, rules, policies and procedures and applies to situations.
processing accounts payable and receivable, including assigning account codes and providing support for Foundation accounts; reconciling monthly charges; preparing contracts; executing P-card transactions and reconciling P-card charges in accordance with policies and regulations.
verifying and paying invoices for outside vendors; preparing payment forms for UO Foundation equity accounts; in conjunction with Sr. Financial Coordinator, processing journal voucher transactions and budget changes; entering non-recurring budget changes to adjust balances.
preparing purchase orders and reimbursement requests for supplies, services and equipment; verifying receipt of goods and services; approving invoices for payment; monitoring invoices, and providing fiscal reports as needed.
processing approved travel documentation and travel reimbursements; providing general clerical support, including copying, scanning, filing and mail processing.
tracking errors through the Banner system and making appropriate reversals or correcting entries according to established procedures.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
