Storeroom Coordinator

## Description
Weyerhaeuser is hiring a Storeroom Coordinator that will be responsible for coordinating the flow of the daily material and service requires necessary to meet the mills productions and operation needs; this person will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager. This is an hourly position with a pay range of $19.00-21.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Key Functions:
Responsible for all aspects of storeroom operation including receiving, inspection, storing, inventory control, issuing, inventory accuracy etc
Maintain clean, efficient, orderly, safe, and secure storeroom and storage areas
Procurement of MRO supplies and critical spares
Maintain ethical and appropriate business relationships with vendors and suppliers
Maintain daily contact with maintenance and operations personnel and participate directly in maintenance planning to ensure parts are available and kitted to work orders and jobs when they are required.
Follow up and expedite orders
Identify, catalogue, stock spare parts for equipment; identify and dispose of obsolete and surplus stock; identify and control expensed supplies
Conduct physical inventory counts on a routine basis
Manage critical spares inventory
Maintain computerized inventory system including consistent catalogue descriptions
Maintain inventory and purchasing costs at established budget target
Work with procurement and maintain communication and awareness of delivery commitments
Work with procurement and independently to investigate new and alternate sources of supply and conduct value analysis
Interface with accounting as required
Prepare weekly and month end reports
Ensure customers of storeroom are served expeditiously and efficiently
Support ongoing effective safety program
Actively seek out and implement best practices and processes to improve safety, storeroom efficiency, reduce costs
Additional support to Finance, Environmental and Safety

## Qualifications
Requirements:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing or supply management
Work experience in a wood products manufacturing environment
Ability to research products and identify cost effective options
Ability to communicate and understand technical language of maintenance
Working knowledge of accounting functions (i.e. ability to complete purchase orders)
Effective problem solving techniques and ability to make process improvement recommendations
Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills
Committed to professional ethical standards
Customer-oriented and focused (both internal and external)
Ability to handle large volume of work, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work under pressure and meet deadlines
Demonstrated basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office, other windows based programs and internet skills
Ability to operate and maintain a computerized inventory system
Familiar with CMMS - SAP preferred
Valid Driver's License
Ability to work both independently and as a team member
